With four days left until the NBA Draft, it seems the Hawks are down to two prospects — Zaccharie Risacher and Donovan Clingan — as Jonathan Givony reports Alex Sarr going No. 2 to the Wizards is seen as a lock, the NBA insider said on Sports Center via Evan Sidery.

The Hawks have worked out every top prospect in this cycle’s class except for one, and it was puzzling why Atlanta wasn’t able to get Alex Sarr in the building for a normal pre-draft interview and workout.
It makes a little more sense now. Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports said on an episode of the No Cap Room podcast that Sarr’s representation (WME) is rumored to not want the 7-foot Frenchman in Atlanta.
There are murmurs on social media that Sarr’s reps don’t see him as a natural fit in Atlanta, with Jalen Johnson entrenched in the 4 position. What makes more sense to me is Alex Sarr’s camp doesn’t trust the Hawks as an organization.
Regardless of the reason, I generally subscribe to the notion that I don’t want anyone who doesn’t want me. That goes for Alex Sarr too; however, if he’s the highest-graded prospect on the Hawks big board, this shouldn’t even be a conversation.
Landry Fields shouldn’t care what his camp wants or not if he believes Sarr is the best player in the draft. However, it seems that the Hawks aren’t interested in anyone who isn’t interested in them.
I don’t hate it, but I would prefer the club to take control. If they like Alex Sarr, take him.

While Council struggled with his three-point shot last season, he emerged as a reliable depth contributor, playing a team-high 73 games while bringing athleticism and energy from the wing positions.

Trade rejection speaks volumes about Red Sox's Jarren Duran intentions
The Boston Red Sox appear to have no interest in trading outfielder Jarren Duran, at least not in the near future. Trade rumors have swirled around Duran for most of the season, especially after designated hitter Rafael Devers was traded to the Giants. However, Sean McAdam from MassLive reported that the Red Sox may wait until the offseason before moving on from the former All-Star. The decision to wait on Duran is not due to a lack of offers. McAdam also reported that the Padres made a significant offer for Duran involving pitcher Dylan Cease, catching prospect Ethan Salas and another unnamed prospect. That offer was quickly rejected. The Padres have long coveted Duran. McAdam had previously reported that the Padres have been "relentless" in their pursuit of the Red Sox outfielder. The reported trade offer including Salas, the Padres second-best prospect and the 21st-best prospect in baseball per MLB.com, illustrates how serious they are about acquiring Duran. Likewise, the Red Sox's refusal to entertain such an offer, even as a starting point for negotiations, speaks volumes about their interest in moving Duran. The Padres' offer would help solve several problems for the Red Sox in both the present and future. Moving Duran would help clear up the logjam in the outfield, while Cease and Salas would respectively improve the back of their rotation and provide a possible cornerstone behind the plate going forward. Duran is a valuable trade chip as he is under team control through 2028. He has also taken a step back in production from his stellar showing in 2024, posting a respectable .254/.321/.428 batting line in 459 plate appearances entering Friday, with nine homers and 25 doubles while stealing 16 bases. That production would be an upgrade for several teams looking to improve their outfield going forward. The question is whether or not the Red Sox will be realistic in their asking price for Duran. Considering how quickly the Padres' offer was reportedly rejected, that may not be the case.
Insider Says Royals Are Eyeing Phillies Outfielder Nick Castellanos in Trade
The Philadelphia Phillies will be buyers ahead of the trade deadline, but how much they are willing to give up to reshape this roster isn't clear. For the most part, contending teams ship out their prospects to add established players, and much of the conversation has been centered on who the Phillies should or should not trade away in potential deals. However, there's a chance Philadelphia could get creative. More News: Insider Confirms Phillies Have Interest in Star Guardians Outfielder Steven Kwan Trading players from their MLB roster could also net them a return, and according to Jon Heyman of The New York Post (subscription required), someone who could be of interest to the Kansas City Royals is Nick Castellanos. "The Royals are seeking an OF who hits. Kwan, Jarren Duran and Ramon Laureano would fit, and they might consider Nick Castellanos, if available," the insider reported. This was a surprising bit of information. More News: Phillies Seen as Best Fit for Red Sox All-Star Outfielder at MLB Trade Deadline It's not clear if the Phillies would trade Castellanos or not, and with the outfield issues they already have, moving their best hitter in that unit would be a surprising decision. Who they would get back might dictate their true interest, since Philadelphia could also search for additional outfielders on the trade market and use Castellanos to acquire a bullpen arm or two from the Royals. Still, it's hard to imagine something like this would get done. More News: Jesus Luzardo's Regression Has Been Huge Blow for Phillies' Rotation It's a major risk for the Phillies to ship out Castellanos despite his inconsistencies, especially since he's proven he can almost single-handedly win a playoff series for this team like he did against the Atlanta Braves during the 2023 NLDS. But with Kansas City looking to make a splash addition to their roster who will help boost their poor offensive output, then perhaps they do offer Philadelphia something they can't turn down.
