The authorities in Los Angeles had to arrest a man who was spotted on LeBron James’ property Friday night, according to TMZ.

Cops arrived at James’ property in Los Angeles after 9 p.m. local time after a male suspect was caught on the security cameras. The alleged suspect was later arrested for stalking. While the full details regarding this arrest aren’t out yet, the man who was detained by the police insisted that he was LeBron’s son.

“Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … security called the cops around 9 PM Friday night after catching a male suspect on the property on one of their security cameras,” TMZ reported. “Oddly enough … the suspect claimed to believe he is LeBron’s son during his chat with cops.”

James, who is currently in his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers, was in Ohio on Friday night to face the Cleveland Cavaliers. He hasn’t commented on this concerning situation.

Concerning trend in the world of sports.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time a professional athlete has dealt with a potential stalker – and it probably won’t be the last time either.

Last week, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham told Theo Von that she has dealt with a few stalkers over the years.

“We do have a lot of stalkers. I know I do. That’s a negative side of things that people don’t think about. I think I have like 20 people that the FBI are watching for me,” Cunningham said, via HITC. “I know one of them. He’s locked away now. His name’s Kevin.”

Earlier this year, a man by the name of Kevin Singh was taken into custody by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly sending Cunningham “numerous threatening and explicit messages” on social media.
