The Houston Rockets lost back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Lakers, and sadly, some cracks have begun to show within the team . Kevin Durant had a couple of tough games against the Lakers. And despite Alperen Sengun suiting up on their second clash versus LA, the Rockets still fell flat.
Understandably, both men were frustrated with the loss. But within that game, the much younger Sengun tried to give out some pointers to KD. Weirdly enough, instead of acknowledging what his teammate had said, Durant immediately talked to somebody on the sideline and pointed a finger at his own head.
That’s bad, isn’t it? But without audio, it’s unclear if Kevin Durant was mocking the fan or Sengun’s instructions. Teammates should help each other, and judging by Sengun’s body language, he was just pointing out something to KD, perhaps for the betterment of the team.
At the beginning of the 2025-2026 season, both KD and Sengun were vibing. The Houston Rockets garnered some easy wins, and for a long stretch, it looked like both men had formed a close friendship.
However, when news of Kevin Durant’s alleged burner accounts on X surfaced, everything changed. When Sengun was asked about it, he had a short but cryptic reply to the reporters. “I don’t talk about locker room stuff,” the Houston Rockets big man answered.
His face when answering the question says a lot. He was a bit uncomfortable after his brief reply. If the Rockets are dead serious about winning a title this season, they need both of their all-stars to perform well, especially with the regular season winding down.
With less than a month to play before the 2026 postseason starts, Houston needs to rack up some wins. They need to convey to other squads that they are legitimate title contenders this season. But can they, though?
