Bradley Beal frustrated after scoring 60 in Wizards' loss

Typically, when a player scores 60 points in an NBA game, it's a cause for celebration. But Bradley Beal said he was "p---ed off" after dropping 60 in the Washington Wizards' loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

"I'm p---ed off," Beal told reporters after the game. "I'm mad. I don't count [them]. ... Any of my career-highs, they've been in losses. So I don't give a damn. You can throw it right out the window with the other two or three I've had."

Beal was sensational during the game but his herculean effort was not enough, and the 27-year-old made it clear the individual accolades doesn't matter, as he is only focused on helping his team win. And right now, the 2-6 Wizards are not doing much winning this season. That is no fault of Beal's, who has been sensational this season, averaging over 34 points per game so far.

While Beal has insisted that he wants to stay with the Wizards rather than jump ship and join a contender, one has to wonder if his position will change given that the Wizards look no closer to being a real contender in the Eastern Conference.

Beal is in the last year of his current contract and is set to become a free agent after the season. If he knows he does not want to stay with Washington, the team could benefit from being able to trade him now for some assets rather than him just walking away this summer and leaving the Wizards empty-handed.
