A lot of people throughout the NBA believe Toronto Raptors guard Bruce Brown will be traded before Thursday’s deadline and it appears the Milwaukee Bucks want in on it.

Per NBA insider Brett Siegel, the Bucks have trade interest in Brown. That follows several reports that noted the same thing.

Not surprising. Brown would make the perfect Buck. He plays hard, plays both ways, and has a championship mindset. He was an underrated force off the bench for the champion Denver Nuggets last season and could do the same type of thing for a contender such as Milwaukee.

“Brown is said to be a player the Bucks think highly of, given his ability to impact the game in various ways on both sides of the court,” Siegel wrote. “The Bucks are motivated to find an immediate upgrade in favor of Pat Connaughton and Cam Payne.”

Would Brown be an upgrade over either of those players? Well, nothing against Connaughton or Payne, but most people think so.

Brown, 27, is averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals, shooting 45 percent from the field and 35 percent on threes. He arrived in Toronto via a trade with the Indiana Pacers last month.

He signed with the Pacers in free agency and is making $22 million this season with a team option worth $23 million for next. That’s viewed as a highly tradeable contract and the Raptors, no doubt, could get something valuable in return.

Multiple others are said to be interested in Brown as well, including the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.
