The Orlando Magic could have an opportunity to take advantage of a Boston Celtics team that is at less than full strength in Game 2. Orlando is looking to bounce back after a 103-86 loss to Boston in Game 1.
The Celtics announced that Tatum's status for Tuesday's game is very much in doubt. Tatum sustained a wrist injury in Game 1 but was able to continue playing.
"It's all right," Tatum said of his wrist on Sunday, per Yahoo Sports. "I just fell on it, landed on it."
The early signs point to Tatum missing Game 2 versus the Magic as the star is officially listed as doubtful.
"Sources tell me that Jayson Tatum underwent an MRI on that right wrist over the last 24 hours, and he has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his shooting wrist," ESPN's Shams Charania detailed on "SportsCenter" on Tuesday. "It's believed to be a pain tolerance injury."

Jayson Tatum (right distal radius bone bruise) - DOUBTFUL
CBS Sports' Sam Quinn believes that the Celtics should rest Tatum against the Magic.
"Rest him," Quinn said in a Tuesday message on X. "Rest Jaylen too while you’re at it.
"The Magic aren’t a threat. Do what you need to do to make sure Tatum and Brown are good for the rest of the playoffs."
Even if Tatum is forced to miss time, the Magic still need much more offensive firepower to pull off an upset against the Celtics. Orlando was leading by one point at halftime of Game 1, but the Magic failed to score 20 points in either quarter in the second half which led to the blowout loss.
The Magic will still be concerned with other key Celtics players, including Jaylen Brown, as the team looks to even the series.
