Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry’s Four-Word Reaction to LeBron James’ Team USA Heroics vs. South Sudan
Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

Golden State Warriors news: LeBron James saved the day for Team USA on Sunday after a hard-fought battle with South Sudan in their Olympic tune-up showdown. Thanks to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s game-winning deuce, the Americans were able to escape with a too-close-for-comfort 101-100 victory against the African nation.

After the game, Warriors star Stephen Curry had a four-word message reacting to LeBron’s last-second heroics for the national squad.

James, who finished the win with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, seven assists, and two triples, sounded off on the win as he made his way to the locker room. According to LeBron, he’s happy that Team USA was tested in this one as they were able to show what they’re made of.

Curry was walking alongside the Lakers talisman, and the GOAT shooter had just four words to describe LeBron’s heroics on the day.

“Put the closer on,” Curry said.

For his part, Curry struggled from the field in this one, going 3-of-9 from his attempts from deep for 10 points in 23 minutes of action. Team USA did not need a miraculous performance from Steph on Sunday, but even the Warriors superstar himself has acknowledged that it was LeBron who bailed them out against a highly-impressive South Sudan side.
