It wasn't perfect, but the Golden State Warriors got a leg up on the Minnesota Timberwolves for their second-round matchup.
Being the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference, the Warriors are the road team, facing the No. 6-seeded Timberwolves.
With the Warriors having secured a Game 1 win on the road -- the away team has won each of the four second-round series openers this year, marking the first time that's happened in NBA history.
More impressively, Golden State did it after only having Stephen Curry's services for 13 minutes.
In those minutes played, the superstar guard logged 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
With a final score of 99-88, defense was the name of the game and the Warriors were able to hold onto their victory without Curry on the hardwood.
Jimmy Butler's presence certainly helped, as the trade deadline move to land the star forward has paid off at every turn this season.
While the former Miami Heat star has elevated the play of every one of his teammates, he's gotten along particularly well with Buddy Hield.
The two have impeccable chemistry off the floor, continually providing hilarious moments.
That was no different after Game 1, as the two went viral for a moment in their post-game interview.
The two were sorting who was Batman, who was Robin, and if Hield was still Alfred during the contest -- as their Batman comparisons took a turn with Curry sidelined with an injury.
A video clip of them sorting the matter has amassed over 1.2 million views and counting on the one post alone, and has been shared countless times.
The off-court chemistry is especially important during the playoffs, which can be mightily challenging.
With Curry sidelined, Hield managed another massive game, scoring a Warriors-leading 24 points, with Butler pouring in an additional 20 points.
