NBA analyst makes bold claim about Celtics

NBA analyst Mike Greenberg of ESPN believes the Celtics can become the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 playoff deficit.

"The Celtics should win every single game. They're just better," Greenberg, the host of "Get Up," said Wednesday about Boston's prospects of a comeback, prior to the team's Game 5 win to cut the series deficit to 3-2.

Teams trailing 0-3 in the NBA playoffs are 0-150. With the Heat up 3-0, however, ESPN's BPI analytics gave Miami just a 69 percent chance of winning the series. (Naturally, the WWL took massive heat for that.)

For Boston to make history, it will require two more stellar second-half performances from Jayson Tatum and better play from Jaylen Brown, who didn't do much in the first four games.

In Boston's 116-99 victory in Game 4, Tatum scored 27 points in the second half after another lackluster start.

Brown, meanwhile, has averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists and shot a dreadful 39 percent from the field and 12 percent from beyond the arc (3-of-25) against Miami.

In Thursday's Game 5 110-97 win, Tatum totaled 21 points and 11 assists, and Brown also scored 21 points.

Miami starting point guard Gabe Vincent missed Game 5 due to an ankle sprain. Given Vincent's substantial contributions throughout the playoffs, his absence provided a significant boost for Boston.

Game 6 is Saturday in Miami.
