'And You Didn’t': Azzi Fudd Hilariously Confronts Steph Curry Over UConn Snub

Even after her WNBA transition, Azzi Fudd hasn’t gotten over the one part of her UConn era that Stephen Curry missed out on. And this time, she didn’t hesitate to confront the NBA star about it.

Fudd joined the W as the No. 1 overall Draft Pick after a 5-year tenure with the Huskies. But seeing Curry never attending any of her NCAA games, she had to jokingly confront him on her Fudd Around and Find Out podcast.

“You know what, Steph, I have a bone to pick with you,” she said on Friday’s episode. “I was in college for five years… Granted, I didn’t play a lot, but it was still five years of opportunities that you had to come to a game. And you didn’t.”

But after agreeing to Fudd’s point, the Golden State Warriors star was quick to shift the blame to the NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver. For “not scheduling (him) in the northeast at a certain point or at least giving a day off.”

Curry also jokingly blamed the former Warriors executive Larry Riley for drafting him to Golden State. Had he been a part of the New York Knicks, he “could have been up there” to attend some UConn games.

However, the 38-year-old assured Fudd that he’ll “try to make up for five years in one night.” And probably he should, as it wasn’t the first time Fudd had such complaints.

Azzi Fudd Had the Same Complaint Before

Following UConn’s 12th title win last year, Fudd was asked which one of her dream celebrities she’d want to attend her game from the courtside. And the first name she came up with was no one other than Curry.

“I did just yell at Steph for not coming to a game this season,” she said. “We had a whole conversation about that, so he’d better be there next year.”

But Curry missed out on that opportunity for the final time as well, prompting the 23-year-old to call him out again.
