Anfernee Simons just got some well-deserved recognition. The Portland Trail Blazers guard was nominated for Western Conference Player of the Week, the NBA announced on social media.

Simons put up strong numbers over a three-game stretch, averaging 24.3 points and 6.0 assists while shooting 49.1% from the field. He also stayed hot from deep, knocking down 15-of-32 threes as Portland finished the week 2-1.

Despite Simons' impressive run, Nikola Jokić took home the award after leading the Nuggets to a perfect 4-0 recordwhile averaging 29.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game. Over in the East, Trae Young claimed Player of the Week honors, guiding the Hawks to a 3-1 record while putting up 31.3 points and 10.5 assists per game. On Monday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver also named Young as an NBA All-Star injury replacement.

Simons wasn’t the only Western Conference player in the mix. Other nominees included Devin Booker (Suns), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder), LeBron James (Lakers), and Michael Porter Jr. (Nuggets).

In the Eastern Conference, the field was just as stacked, featuring Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Cade Cunningham (Pistons), Darius Garland (Cavaliers), Jayson Tatum (Celtics), and Franz Wagner (Magic).

Simons won’t have to wait long to face off against the West’s Player of the Week—he and the Blazers take on Jokić and the Nuggets February 11th at 6 p.m. Pacific.
