Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is on track to surpass NBA legend Tim Duncan in the all-time rebounds per game rankings, highlighting a remarkable parallel between two of basketball's most dominant big men.

Davis, currently averaging a career-high 11.9 rebounds per game in 2025, sits at No. 37 on the all-time rebounds per game list with 10.7 RPG. Just ahead at No. 33, Duncan's career mark stands nearly identical to Davis's at 10.8 RPG.

Duncan's rebounding excellence spanned 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, where he established himself as one of the most consistent glass cleaners in NBA history. The Big Fundamental recorded eight seasons averaging over 11 rebounds per game, with his peak coming in 2001-02 when he pulled down 12.7 boards per contest. His careful positioning and fundamental approach helped maintain his rebounding effectiveness well into his late career.

Davis, meanwhile, has showcased similar dominance on the boards since entering the league in 2012. The Lakers' big man has demonstrated remarkable consistency, never averaging fewer than 9 rebounds per game in any season. His current campaign marks his most impressive rebounding performance yet, as he's pulling down nearly 12 boards per game.

At his current pace of 11.9 rebounds per game, Davis would need approximately 45-50 games to accumulate enough rebounds to edge past Duncan in the career rankings, assuming he maintains this elevated level of production.
