Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-98, losing their fourth game of the last five matchups.
The Suns were met by a dominant performance from Anthony Edwards, who filled up the stat sheet in the blowout victory.
After the game, Edwards was asked about his matchup against Durant. While Edwards has been quoted saying the the Suns star has always been his favorite player and basketball idol, he also described Durant as the greatest player of all time.
"He's my favorite player of all time," Edwards said, per Jon Krawczyski. "He's the greatest player to me. I want to beat him. I want to go against him."

Durant finished the game with 26 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. While it's a respectable stat line, Edwards had one of his best games of the season, recording 44 points, five rebounds and seven assists.
So far this season, Edwards has averaged 27.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
While Edwards' take on Durant being the greatest player of all time can certainly be debated, it's clear that the Suns star has created a Hall of Fame resume.
Throughout his 17-year NBA career, Durant has bee named a four-time scoring champion, 2013-14 NBA MVP, two-time NBA champion, two-time Finals MVP and 15-time All-Star.
