The Minnesota Timberwolves went on the road to face the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night in a battle between the two top current seeds in the Western Conference. While the Timberwolves emerged with a 107-101 victory, the team's young star Anthony Edwards was extremely unhappy with the officiating in the game.
Edwards was so unhappy that he didn't even get off the floor before twice calling out the officials. The first time came almost immediately after the game when he was seen looking out onto the floor, presumably at a ref, and shouted, "Cheating a** refs." The video is below, but be aware that it contains strong language.

That was just phase one of Edwards publicly making his feelings about the situation known. He then went to a postgame news conference on the court and proceeded once again to call them out while speaking with Lea B. Olsen of Bally Sports.
"I don't know [how we got it done], I don't know. And I'm gonna take the fine because the refs did not give us no calls tonight," Edwards said. "We had to play through every bump, every grab, I don't know, I don't know how we won tonight. Big shoutout to my team, big shoutout to my coaches, for sure."

Edwards, who scored a team-high 27 points in the win while adding four assists and four rebounds, had no interest in ducking the likely incoming fine for criticizing the refs. And he did so with a smile on his face after his team grabbed sole possession of the top spot in the Western Conference.
