The Hawks Summer League squad will compete in both Utah and Las Vegas this offseason, and it’s one of the most stacked Summer League rosters you’re going to see, featuring Kingston Flemings, Zuby Ejiofor, Henri Veesaar, and last year’s first round selection Asa Newell.

Obviously, all eyes are going to be on the brand new rookie class. The Hawks are hoping Kingston Flemings can be the point guard of the future after moving on from Trae Young this past season, and the sooner that happens, the better.
Zuby Ejiofor — Atlanta’s second selection in the first round — also has the tools to be an immediate contributor in the frontcourt, an area where the Hawks were really thin a season ago. And the same could be said for Henri Veesaar, a projected first round selection that shockingly fell all the way to Atlanta at pick #52. He’s a legit 7-footer that might be the best shooter in the entire draft class, knocking down threes at a 42.6% clip this past season for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Asa Newell shouldn’t be overlooked, however. The Hawks first round pick from a year ago never really cracked the rotation as a rookie, but when he did play, the offensive potential was undeniable as he shot 53.8% from the field and a 38.7% from beyond the arc. He’ll be looking to make a case for more playing time in year two, and that all starts at NBA Summer League.
