Austin Reaves did not go to Europe, nor did he do any sort of flashy process that will get him media attention or whatever.

Instead, the Los Angeles Lakers guard was putting in days in and days out to get back to his natural rhythm and help his team win during one of the most challenging stretches.

However, recently, Reaves revealed the amount of dedicated hours he has put in during his insane daily rehab grind for an injury return.

“I left my house every day around 7:30 in the morning to get treatment and didn’t come home until about 8 at night, was going crazy trying to get back. … I was in that hyperbaric chamber all the time,” he recently said via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.

That said, Los Angeles finds itself in a challenging situation, having lost the first three games of its series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. After a tough loss in Game 1, they fought hard in Game 2 but still fell short, with a final score of 107-125.

Just like that, the Lakers lost all those games with a good margin, which is not what the team would have expected.

Reaves, a key player for the team, was initially out of form, scoring only eight points in Game 1. However, he bounced back in Game 2, scoring 31 points despite the team’s loss. His performance was crucial in Game 3 as well, as he clocked 17 important points.

Fortunately for the Lakers, Reaves will be available for Game 4, which brings hope to the team and its fans when they play their second consecutive game of the series.

Austin Reaves Sounds Confident Ahead Of Lakers Game 4

Despite a downtrend, Austin Reaves made it clear the Lakers are not ready to wave the white flag, even after falling into a daunting 3-0 hole against the Thunder.

Following another frustrating second-half collapse in Game 3, Reaves delivered a confident message ahead of Monday night’s must-win matchup.

“We’re gonna come in here Monday and we’re gonna get a win,” he said after the loss. “This situation sucks, but that doesn’t give us the license to quit.”

The Lakers guard emphasized that the team still owes effort and competitiveness to the organization, the locker room, and the fan base, even with NBA history stacked against them. No team has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit in league history, but Reaves insisted the mentality inside the locker room remains focused on extending the series.

Los Angeles has shown flashes throughout the matchup, particularly early in games. Under JJ Redick, the Lakers held halftime leads in both Games 2 and 3 before Oklahoma City’s defense and transition attack overwhelmed them after the break.
