Jerami Grant has not played for the Portland Trail Blazerssince March 29. The star forward has been sidelined due to a right calf strain, which led him to be on the bench for seven straight games. The Blazers need all the help they can get on Tuesday, as they are set to face the Phoenix Suns in the play-in tournament.
Grant has dealt with various injuries during the 2025-26 NBA season, only appearing in 57 games. Despite his inconsistencies this season, the team has remained competitive and has a chance to be in the playoffs. The Blazers have missed the postseason since the 2021-22 season, and they are looking for a strong return.
Grant was initially listed as questionable in the recent injury report by the Blazers. However, the team announced that they have cleared the star forward to play tonight.

Having him back is a major boost for the Blazers. Grant brings a boost on both ends with his elite two-way style of play. During the regular season, the forward averaged 18.6 points and 3.5 rebounds on 45.3% shooting.
Portland faced Phoenix three times in the regular season and had a 1-2 record, and Grant appeared in two of the three games. The forward had 23 points and four assists in the second matchup of the regular season series. It resulted in a close 130-125 win for the Suns. Grant followed it up with another 23-point outing to secure the 92-77 win to end their season matchup.
Over the last 10 games that Grant has faced the Suns, the star forward has averaged 19.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Additionally, it will be the star forward's first April game since 2021. He has been sidelined for the end of the season owing to injuries throughout the last several seasons.
The only player in the Blazers' injury report is veteran star Damian Lillard. He's out rehabbing from a torn Achilles injury he sustained in the first-round of the playoffs last season with the Milwaukee Bucks.
For the Suns, the team has a somewhat healthy group that is ready to show up in the play-in tournament. The only player in the injury report is Grayson Allen, who is dealing with left hamstring soreness and is listed as out. Allen plays a significant role for Phoenix on both ends. Not having him tonight against the Blazers will be a challenge.
