"Since I haven't played in two games, I decided to stay and do some extra work," Marjanovic said. "We were on the road, I think we were in San Fransisco. I stayed for shooting practice… Tim Duncan, who played one of the games, was leaving, and he looked around; he didn't see anyone, and then he came back and started working with me. Showing me defensive moves, how to shoot a certain way."

For a rookie experiencing his first NBA season, this interaction was transformative.
