The Warriors are expected to weigh trade possibilities involving Jonathan Kuminga.

Kuminga sat out Golden State’s 123-91 win over the Chicago Bulls, adding another layer to an increasingly complicated situation.

Steve Kerr addressed the decision after the game, pointing to the 23-year-old forward’s recent dip in form as the main reason he was left out of the line-up.

The Warriors seem close to making a decision on Kuminga’s future with the team, and it feels like a trade could be coming soon.

Where the trade market stands for Jonathan Kuminga

Kuminga cannot be moved until January 15th, when he becomes eligible for trades.

Even with both sides looking to part ways, it may not be easy to find a deal.

The forward has not really had the chance to display his full skill set this season, and there is the added factor of his two-year, $48.5 million contract, which he signed with the Warriors back in September.

On Instagram Threads, Brian Windhorst faced a question regarding a potential Warriors trade involving Kuminga, specifically asking if teams such as the Dallas Mavericks or Brooklyn Nets would be interested in acquiring him.

“Yes the Warriors are very much interested in trading [Jonathan] Kuminga and he’s probably interested in getting traded,” Windhorst said.

“The Mavs just lost their starting C for the season, do not assume [Daniel] Gafford will be moved.

“[Michael] Porter probably makes too much $, Warriors have a lot on their books.”

Which teams might consider making a move for Jonathan Kuminga?

The Sacramento Kings are still believed to be interested in Kuminga, but outside of Keon Ellis, there is not much on their roster that would appeal to the Warriors.

NBA insider Jake Fischer mentioned that one potential target for Golden State could be Myles Turner of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee has stumbled out of the gate with a 10-15 record, and if things do not turn around, they might look to make changes.

The Warriors are in need of a stretch big man, and Turner fits that bill perfectly. He is putting up 12.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this season.
