Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers finished the 2025-26 regular season on a three-game winning streak, ending with a 53-29 record and securing the Western Conference's No. 4 seed in the NBA Playoffs. Now, the Lakers will turn their focus to the first round, opening against Kevin Durant and the No. 5 seed Houston Rockets on Saturday night.

Bronny did not have much of an impact during his rookie year, but this season, he saw his role increase. In 42 games, the former USC guard averaged 2.9 points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 8.9 minutes per game. But with all the injuries Los Angeles has dealt with over the past few weeks, including to Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, Bronny has seen an increase in minutes and could have a role entering the playoffs.

Since joining the league in 2024, Bronny has built a solid portfolio for himself away from basketball. He has partnered with numerous major brands alongside his father, LeBron James, including Beats by Dre, Nike, PSD Underwear, FaZe Clan and Mountain Dew. But Bronny was done there.

On Friday, just one day before the Lakers begin their NBA playoff run, Bronny took to social media to reveal his latest endeavor with LeBron, joining his father in a promotional campaign for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, "The Odyssey," and the NBA Playoffs. The video featured clips of the two Los Angeles players on the basketball court, along with scenes involving characters portrayed by actors Tom Holland and Matt Damon.

"No legend worth watching took a straight and simple path," LeBron said. "Nah, they chose challenges and changeups every step of the way. And him, he's on a journey all his own, with obstacles only he can conquer. Because in the end, this was never a myth, it's a legacy."

"It was never a myth, It’s a legacy," Bronny James wrote on Instagram. "A film by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey is in theaters 7/17/26"

Bronny, LeBron and the Lakers will begin their first-round matchup with the Rockets on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET at Crypto.com Arena.
