Bronny James gets shoutout from LeBron after huge game

Bronny James put together a huge game in the G League on Saturday, and it earned him a shoutout from his father.

Bronny poured in a season-high 26 points for the South Bay Lakers to go with seven rebounds, five assists, and a steal in his team’s 140-132 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The win clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the Lakers heading into the G League playoffs.

LeBron James certainly took notice of his son’s performance. On X, he enthusiastically posted during the game that his son was “going NUTS right now.”

LeBron was not wrong. Bronny went 9-12 from the field and 6-8 from three, and his opponents had no real answer for him.

While there are still some questions about Bronny’s long-term fit in the NBA, he certainly has shown plenty of flashes of talent this season. In 14 games, he has averaged 15.6 points per game and has shot 45.6 percent from three-point range. He keeps getting cameos at the NBA level as well, and he recently combined with his father for a bit of NBA history.
