LeBron James, 40, is entering his 23rd year in the NBA this upcoming season, and it will be the second year he will be suiting up next to his son, Bronny James. Bronny James was selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, joining forces with his father.

After switching between Los Angeles and the G-League South Bay Lakers last season, Bronny James will look to play a bigger role in the NBA this season.

At the Lakers' media day on Monday, he spoke on the longevity of his father and his reaction to seeing LeBron James still playing at the level he is after 22 years in the league.

"I'm just as surprised as everyone else," Bronny James said, per House of Highlights on Instagram. "I don't know how he's doing it. It's crazy to be a part of that. I've been here from literally the start."

He is not wrong. Bronny James was born on Oct. 6, 2004, and LeBron James entered the league in the 2003 NBA Draft, so for the entirety of Bronny James' life, his father has been playing in the NBA.

LeBron James, who is going into his eighth year with the Lakers, has had possibly the greatest basketball career of all time. He has made 21 All-Star Game appearances, won four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA titles and is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history, with 42,184 points.

As for Bronny James, he played in 27 games for the Lakers during his rookie year, totaling 62 points, 22 assists and 18 rebounds.

With the father-son duo ready to take the floor again in the 2025-26 season, it will be interesting to see how much longer they can play together before LeBron James hangs it up.
