The Milwaukee Bucks enter the 2025-26 season aiming to contend for the Eastern Conference crown, but their success hinges heavily on health. Giannis Antetokounmpo must remain available to lead the charge, while Myles Turner’s durability will also be crucial. The Bucks need their depth intact as well.
Ryan Rollins, who is competing for a rotation spot, shared that he underwent offseason surgery to address a lingering injury.
Rollins shared that he underwent shoulder surgery to repair an injury he played through last season. Speaking to reporters after practice, he confirmed the procedure, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
“I feel good, man. It’s a little different though, the shoulder range-wise, I would say, but for the most part, I feel good on the court. I have no hesitations or nothing like that, so I’m good,” Rollins remarked.
“I mean, where it’s right now is probably what it’s going to be, but it’s just getting comfortable in that range and just getting stronger with it with the bumps and tugs and all that. But I feel good, I have no hesitation in my shoulder, no nothing. I feel good.”
After today's practice, Ryan Rollins told reporters that, after playing through an injury to it for most of the season, he got surgery on his left shoulder a week after the season.

Rollins also mentioned that his recovery lasted four months, highlighting how serious the procedure was. He took part in his first live segment last week as he keeps progressing through his rehabilitation.
“It was like a four-month recovery. I started back playing maybe the end of July, like actually doing stuff on the court. And I would say my first live segment was not this week, but last week. So, I’m just getting back into playing condition and all that, but I feel stronger. I feel good. I feel confident.”
The Bucks are confident in Rollins’ potential. With improved range in his shoulder, he’s expected to perform at a higher level this season and strengthen his place in the rotation. He appeared in 56 games last year, gaining valuable experience, and Milwaukee plans to rely on him even more now that Damian Lillard has returned to Portland.
