With the NBA offseason quickly approaching, two teams have found themselves in the middle of trade rumors as both could move on from one of their star players.
Those two teams are the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns as both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant could be on the move this offseason.
Of course, the Suns are coming off another disappointing season that saw them miss the playoffs and they are expected to make some major changes this summer because of it, which will likely include them moving on from Durant.
For Milwaukee, they once again had a first-round playoff exit and with Damian Lillard set to miss most or all of next season due to a torn Achilles, Giannis’ time with the franchise may be coming to an end as well.
Despite this, many believe that Giannis will remain in Milwaukee despite rumors that he could explore a trade this summer.
If Giannis does end up staying, the Bucks have some key decisions to make regarding how they will build the roster around them, including who will be their starting point guard with Lillard injured.
On Friday, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that Dennis Schroder and Malcolm Brogdon are free agent targets to monitor for the Bucks, along with Suns veteran point guard Tyus Jones.

After beginning his career as a backup point guard, Jones has turned into a starter over the last two seasons with both the Suns and Washington Wizards.
This season, the 29-year-old started 58 of 81 games for Phoenix where he averaged 10.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while shooting 44.8% from the field and 41.4% from three-point range.
Jones would be a perfect filler at the point guard position for Milwaukee while Lillard is out and the Bucks should also be able to sign him to a cheap contract, which is massive for them due to their lack of cap space.
Of course, Jones should draw interest from many teams this offseason but if the Bucks promise him a starting spot, he could wind up in Milwaukee.
