The Bucks made big moves last summer and lost in the first round. Now, as their Eastern Conference rivals get stronger, the Bucks continue an uninspiring offseason.

No slight on Wright, who is an underrated defensive player, but getting a 32-year-old guard who shoots 35 percent from three-point range doesn't really compare to the Knicks trading for Mikal Bridges or the 76ers signing Paul George. Or even the Celtics securing the core of their dominant title team.
The Magic added Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Pacers secured Pascal Siakam long-term and the Cavaliers locked up Donovan Mitchell. The Bucks added a guy who started 23 games in the past three seasons, much of which were spent playing for the woeful Washington Wizards.
Milwaukee is limited by the new CBA rules, which make it difficult for a team carrying two players in Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo who make over $97M combined, a number which jumps to a combined $127M next season. They need cheap young players to step into regular roles, with general manager Jon Horst suggesting MarJon Beauchamp, A.J. Green and Andre Jackson Jr. could be those players.
But that trio were Nos. 10-12 in total minutes on last year's Bucks, though they did shoot well. In the draft, Milwaukee opted for long-term developmental pieces, taking two 19-year-olds. Tyler Smith and AJ Johnson may have potential, but there aren't a lot of teenagers who contribute to contending teams.
Is there a trade coming? Milwaukee has reportedly been shopping center Brook Lopez, but that only opens up another hole on a team that went 17-19 after Doc Rivers was hired as head coach.
Antetokounmpo is still one of the best players on the NBA, but the team around him needs an upgrade. So far, that upgrade hasn't come.
