The Milwaukee Bucks are about to make a ninth consecutive NBA playoff appearance after the Atlanta Hawks were bested by the New York Knicks on April 5. The Hawks' 121-105 defeat ensured they would not surpass the Bucks in the standings, solidifying Milwaukee's playoff berth and the top six status in the East.
This news means the Bucks are no longer in danger of dropping to the NBA Play-In Tournament to fight for one of the final two seeds.
The Bucks took to X on Saturday announcing the good news by posting, "Playoff bound for the ninth straight season."
Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 36 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists for his 10th triple-double this season (second straight). Antetokounmpo continues to be on a hot streak and his playing his best basketball as the postseason nears.
The star's decisive dunk lifted Milwaukee to a 117-115 overtime lead in a back-and-forth game featuring 12 lead changes and 15 ties.
Kevin Porter Jr. came off the bench to put up 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists, including a game-sealing layup with 11 seconds remaining on the clock in overtime, extending the lead to 119-115. The Bucks’ bench erased Miami’s early lead with 20 second-quarter points.

"I'm fortunate enough. I've been in those moments where one shot can win the game or one play," said Porter Jr. postgame. "I just trust my work, trust myself, and I feel good and confident when I got the trust from my teammates to make that last play."
"Those are the moments we live for, and I love being in those moments, and I'm gonna take that shot every chance I get." he added.
What a night from these two.

The win against Miami completed the four-game season sweep, the team's first in a decade. Milwaukee will await to see their final seeding and first-round playoff opponent.
With five games remaining, the Bucks hold the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference and are three game behind the Indiana Pacers for the No. 4 spot.
