Bucks' Myles Turner Claims to be 'Evolving' His Game

The Milwaukee Bucks had one of the best offseason moves when they signed center Myles Turner. It elevated their interior defense, since Turner is a two-time block champion. It was a surprising move for the big man as well, after the Indiana Pacers were one win away from the NBA championship.

In his final year in Indiana, Turner helped the Pacers return to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000. They even beat the Bucks, a team that was much-favored by critics. However, the Tyrese Haliburton-led team came out of the gates swinging, eliminating any team that was on their way.

Turner's decision to move on from the Pacers ended his 10-year stay with the organization that drafted him. He joined their Eastern Conference rivals on a four-year, $107 million contract.

In a recent live stream session by Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving on Twitch, Turner appeared as a guest. The two NBA players talked about the sport and his stint with the Pacers, leading to his transition with the Bucks, was brought up.

Turner started by saying his run with Indiana wasn't a Cinderella story. He believes that his team with the Pacers was truly capable of being championship contenders.

"At the end of the day, bro, it’s not a Cinderella story, you know what I mean? I think that’s how people are trying to form this," Turner said (9:48). "And though I think the way I viewed it is I wanted to be thankful, for just the people that rock with me the entire time, my 10-year journey in Indiana, but also let them realize that at this time I made the best decision for my family, made the best decision for me and myself going into my prime, and this is how I saw fit."

Irving caught on with what he said and asked him this:

"Wait, so there’s a better version of Myles Turner?"

The Bucks center responded with this:

"Absolutely, I’m evolving."

With a new All-Star teammate in Giannis Antetokounmpo, there could be a new version of Turner for the upcoming regular season. The only thing that the fans are waiting for is Antetokounmpo's decision on his future with the franchise.
