Myles Turner finally made his first appearance at his old stomping grounds Monday night, as the Milwaukee Bucks visited the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

It was a familiar place for Turner, who spent his first 10 seasons in the NBA with the Pacers, who selected him in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft. However, many Indiana fans were not too welcoming to their team’s former star big man. Turner was booed by Pacers fans throughout the contest.

“It was disheartening. Man, it was frustrating,” Turner said after the game, per Michael Marot of the Associated Press (h/t FOX59). “You give 10 years of your life, your blood, sweat and tears. You take pay cuts, you survive trade rumors, you try to do everything the right way and then sometimes that stuff shakes out. It’s cool, you know, I’ll take it on the chin.”

Nevertheless, Turner and the Bucks got the last laugh, as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s buzzer-beating jumper gave Milwaukee a 117-115 victory. Antetokounmpo scored 33 points and grabbed 13 boards to lead the Bucks, while Turner added nine points, seven rebounds and five blocks.

What exactly did Turner want to convey with his racecar post after Bucks win?

Following the win over the Pacers, Turner took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of a wrecked racecar.

Although the post didn’t come with any caption, it’s not a stretch to connect it to Indianapolis, which is home to the Indianapolis 500. In a way, it can be interpreted as a symbol of how the Bucks came into Indiana’s home and destroyed the Pacers.

Regardless of the real story behind the post, what’s clear is that many Pacers fans no longer feel highly of Turner, and it might take time for them to completely move on from his departure from Indiana.
