Myles Turner tasted his first defeat as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks last Sunday, as they fell prey to Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road, 118-113.
Turner, who joined the Bucks in the offseason following several years with Milwaukee’s division rivals, the Indiana Pacers, mustered 13 points to go with six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal, while shooting 5-for-12 from the field in 31 minutes of action versus the Cavs. It wasn’t a particularly fantastic performance for the former Texas Longhorns star, but a passable one, nevertheless.
Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo went off with a near triple-double, scoring 40 points, grabbing 14 boards and dishing out nine assists in 33 minutes.
It is still too early in the 2025-26 NBA season to draw much from that Bucks loss, but there’s surely Turner and the Bucks can improve on going forward.
While the outcome of the Cavs game was not ideal for Turner and the Bucks, the frustration on the part of the big man was seemingly appeased by a nice and thoughtful gift from his neighbors.
In a social media post on Instagram, Turner shared a photo of six bottles of beers with a note that read: “Welcome Back Home!”
Turner also wrote “A Proper Wisconsin Gesture S/o My Neighbors!” on his post.
Following a short two-game road trip, the Bucks are indeed back in Wisconsin for a homestand that begins this Tuesday night at Fiserv Forum against the visiting New York Knicks.
Milwaukee will then take on the Golden State Warriors on Thursday and the Sacramento Kings on Saturday before hitting the road to face the Pacers on Nov. 3.
