Bucks Sign Two To Training Camp Contracts
Lucas Peltier-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard James Akinjo and center Liam Robbins to Exhibit 10 contracts for training camp, the team announced in a press release.

Akinjo is 6-foot-1 and went undrafted out of Baylor in 2022. He has spent each of his first two seasons as a pro in the G League. That includes last season with the Stockton Kings and Wisconsin Herd, in which he appeared in 31 total games and averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 assists and 2.2 rebounds.

Robinson is 7-0 and went undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2023. He spent last summer and training camp with the New Orleans Pelicans before suffering a stress reaction in his fibula. He was then waived.

Both Akinjo and Robinson are likely headed for the Herd, the Bucks’ G League affiliate.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed minimum-salary deal. It doesn’t count toward a team’s cap unless the player makes the final roster. It also can be converted to a two-way deal before the season begins or mean guaranteed money if a player is waived and then stays on the G League club for at least 60 days.

All three of Milwaukee’s two-way spots are filled, so Akinjo and Robinson would really have to impress in camp to land one of those. But they can always come through the G League, as many others have.

The Bucks’ offseason roster now stands at 20, with rookie forward Philip Alston reportedly also signing an Exhibit 10 deal.
