If Week 1 is anything to judge by, the Kansas City Chiefs might just be back.
Patrick Mahomes totaled three touchdowns (including one on the ground) in his return from an ACL tear, newcomer Kenneth Walker III rushed for 173 yards in his Chiefs debut and veteran tight end Travis Kelce used a 59-yard catch-and-run to finish as the team’s leading receiver.
The result was a dominant 31-10 "Monday Night Football," win over the reigning AFC West champion Denver Broncos and a resounding opening message to those who thought a repeat of a disappointing 2025 was in the cards for the Chiefs in 2026.
Kelce finished with 71 yards on just three catches, and his almost 60-yard scamper officially moved him into second-place all-time for receiving yards by a tight end (13,073), passing Jason Witten and now only looking up at Tony Gonzalez.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. If this is the final campaign for a nearly 37-year-old Kelce, he’ll go down as one of the most productive pass catchers in NFL history and is currently one of just 28 receivers to rack up 10,000 yards and 80 touchdowns. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
