It no longer comes as a surprise whenever Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo makes history. The former back-to-back MVP has made it a bit of a habit to etch his name in the history books throughout what has been a decorated career.
On Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers, Giannis did it again.
Entering Wednesday’s highly anticipated contest, Antetokounmpo had 16,953 points to his name. Giannis was just seven points behind Hall of Fame point guard Bob Cousy, who amassed a grand total of 16,960 points throughout his 14-year NBA career.
Given that Giannis was just seven points behind the Boston Celtics icon, surpassing Cousy on the all-time scoring list on Wednesday night was likely.
Giannis' moment came in the first quarter against Indiana when he scored his eighth point of the game. What makes this such a significant achievement is the fact that the Bucks talisman has now cracked the top 100 for the most points in NBA history:

There’s going to be a lot more where that came from for Antetokounmpo. He still has a long way to go before he calls it a career, and you can be sure that he’s going to continue to climb the all-time scoring list in the years to come.
