The Chicago Bulls have won three straight games to improve to 22-22 on the season, good for ninth in the Eastern Conference standings. They defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in their latest game, 120-115.
Tre Jones played a crucial role in the win. With the Timberwolves ahead 115-114, Jones forced a turnover on Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels with 34.7 seconds left. After that, the 26-year-old guard attacked the basket and got past Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert for a layup. It gave the Bulls the lead, 116-114, with 31.1 seconds remaining on the clock.
Jones didn't stop there. He kept guarding Edwards and caused enough distraction to force a missed shot from the Timberwolves superstar on his 3-point attempt in the closing seconds.
The Bulls will face the Boston Celtics next on Saturday. Sure enough, hopes are high that they will be able to maintain their winning streak.
Unfortunately, Jones won't be with the Bulls for the game. The team announced on Friday that he has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain that will keep him sidelined for at least two weeks. Jones will be evaluated after that period.
Jones is averaging 12.4 points on 55% shooting, along with 3.0 rebounds. He leads the team in steals with 1.3 per game and ranks second in assists with 5.8, behind only Josh Giddey's 8.9 dimes.

The former San Antonio Spurs guard has played in 38 of the Bulls' 44 games so far, starting in 20. With Jones sidelined, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Jevon Carter are expected to get increased playmaking roles.
