The Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks were involved in a shootout on Sunday night. Both teams, which have underperformed in the season thus far, turned up the heat on the offensive end.

The contest featured relentless three-point barrages from both sides, with the Bulls connecting on 20-42 from beyond the arc. While the Hawks hit 23-47 from downtown.

Chicago’s depth and clutch execution down the stretch proved decisive as Trae Young’s potential game-tying jumper rimmed out at the buzzer.

Chicago escaped with a 152-150 victory behind Matas Buzelis’ 28 points on 10-11 shooting. Jalen Johnson scored 36 while Young added 35 in the loss for Atlanta.

This win marks a statement victory for the Bulls, who entered on a two-game streak and now show signs of gelling with improved health. For the Hawks, the loss is their third straight and their lack of defense is really hurting them.
