Bulls Injury Report: All Systems Go for Opening Night vs. Pelicans

I'd advise everybody to buy a lottery ticket and write down where you were on Oct. 23, 2024, because we're witnessing one of the rarest occurrences in the history of mankind. The Chicago Bulls have a clean injury report, a list consisting of just two names that carry "available" designations, entering opening night of the 2024-25 season.

Thinking back, it's likely the first such occurrence since early in the 2021-22 season before Lonzo Ball's knee injury and extended absence.

Ball, who's appeared on the Bulls' injury report for two and a half seasons, is set to play his first regular-season game since Jan. 14, 2022. He'll be limited to 14-16 minutes Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans, continuing the load management plan he adhered to in the preseason.

Dalen Terry, who's been dealing with left patella tendon tendonitis, also appears on the injury report but is available for the Bulls' season opener.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans' injury report features four players. Jose Alvarado (right knee contusion), Dejounte Murray (personal), and Zion Williams (illness) are questionable. Trey Murphy III (right hamstring strain) is out.

Wednesday's season opener between the Bulls and Pelicans tips off at 7 p.m. CT and will air on Chicago Sports Network (CHSN)*.

*CHSN is currently available via cable services DIRECTV (channel 665), DIRECTV Stream (channel 665), U-Verse (channel 1741), and Astound (channels 685 and 576) in addition to several over-the-air channels, which require a digital antenna to access. As of this writing, CHSN still isn't available via Xfinity (Comcast).
