Matas Buzelis G League Update

The Bulls assigned rookie Matas Buzelis to Windy City Bulls of the G League on Saturday, which elicited ire from many fans.

Buzelis, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, spent a full season in the G League last year. And while head coach Billy Donovan said Sunday that he didn't know if Buzelis would return in time for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz, the Bulls have recalled the youngster from the G League.

Former Bull DeMar DeRozan Responds to Drake's Comments Regarding Number Retirement

On Saturday, the Toronto Raptors held a jersey retirement ceremony for franchise legend Vince Carter during a game against the Sacramento Kings. It was a beautiful and emotional night for Carter. Like Carter, former Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan began his career in Toronto.

During the broadcast, world-famous Canadian rapper Drake stated he would pull down a DeRozan banner himself when asked about DeRozan's number ever being retired by the Raptors. Drake's comments are likely a reaction to DeRozan's appearance in Kendrick Lamar's music video for the infamous Drake diss song, "Not Like Us."

After the game, DeRozan was asked about the comments and responded by saying Drake will have a long way to climb before he takes it down. Current Bulls players such as Dalen Terry have said DeRozan took them to hang out with Drake. It's interesting to see the relationship between Drake and DeRozan sour.
