Two channels of Lonzo Ball updates emerged throughout Friday. Ball himself shared an update on his Bulls training camp journey to return to on-court action via his "What An Experience with Lonzo Ball" podcast.
The guard shared that he lost 10 pounds due to a case of COVID and spoke about his usage during upcoming exhibition games.
"[I] will probably be sitting [out] a couple of them preseason games," Ball said. "But we're all focused on the 23rd in New Orleans so that should be uh day one man."
The Bulls' first regular season game is on the road against the Pelicans on Oct 23. Based on Ball's update, it's possible he may sit out the entire preseason and make his NBA return during the Bulls' regular-season opener in New Orleans.
On a more optimistic note, Ball shared an update directly from Friday's practice which he felt was his best day of training camp.

Joakim Noah appeared on an episode of the "All The Smoke" podcast hosted by former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.
Noah delivered his trademark honesty in reflecting on Derrick Rose's career and retirement, Dikembe Mutombo's legacy, and among other things breaking down the ugliest NBA jumpshots. Bulls fans fondly remember Noah's infamous tornado-ball jump shot, so he's the perfect judge for ugly jumpers.
