Free agent center Damian Jones has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to a report on Twitter from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to Wojnarowski, the second year of the deal is at the player’s option.

Jones played eight games for the Lakers during the 2020-21 season, thanks to a pair of 10-day contracts. He averaged 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 14 minutes a game.

Jones showed value as a backup center last season, enjoying a productive campaign with the Sacramento Kings, averaging 8.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.2 minutes.
