Cade Cunningham Makes Daring Cowboys Prediction Without Hesitation

Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now. He is averaging 27.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.5 steals, while shooting 45.2% from the field. The 24-year-old guard has propelled the Motor City franchise to the top of the Eastern Conference, boasting a 17-5 record.

While Cunningham is with the Pistons and has established himself as Detroit's hope, he hasn't forgotten where he came from and where his loyalty lies, particularly in the NFL.

Cunningham was born in Arlington, Texas, and grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan. That being said, when America's Team visited Ford Field to face the Detroit Lions, the Pistons guard doubled down on his Cowboys fandom.

Prior to the game, Cunningham was asked for his prediction about how the season is going to end for the Cowboys. The one-time NBA All-Star didn't hesitate in answering, saying, "We're going to the Super Bowl."

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys entered the showdown with the Lions riding a three-game winning streak, including victories against last year's Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, and contenders, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Considering what the Cowboys have done in recent weeks, it's hard to blame Cunningham for having his hopes up about Dallas once again.

At 6-5-1 prior to the contest, however, the Cowboys will have a hard time qualifying for the postseason.

Regardless, as seen from Cunningham's take, the Cowboys' recent success has brought new hope to a fanbase that hasn't even sniffed the Super Bowl in 31 years.
