The NBA All-Star weekend is one of the most exciting times to be a fan of the biggest basketball league in the world. Playing in the NBA All-Star game is a dream come true for most players and it provides them with a sense of accomplishment.

Seeing star-studded lineups featuring the best of the best from each conference makes the NBA All-Star game an incredibly enjoyable experience for the fans. Speaking of that, the 2001 NBA All-Star is regarded as one of the best in the history of the league.

The reason being simple: it featured the likes Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, and Allen Iverson. But there was another reason behind it and it was a new camera angle, which was used in the game.

The camera angle from the sidelines gave fans a rare experience, and they certainly loved seeing the biggest stars in the NBA at the time, from a different perspective. The clip of that camera angle recently went viral on Instagram and one fan joked about the angle being comedian Kevin Hart's point of view.

The 2001 NBA All-Star Game Was A Memorable Night

The 2001 NBA All-Star game was special in various ways. For starters, it featured with players wearing their individual team jerseys. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Nowadays, in the NBA All-Star game most players do not take it seriously because it is supposed to be a friendly game, which doesn't affect the regular season.

However, in the 2001 NBA All-Star Game, the likes of Allen Iverson and Stephon Marbury battled it out. Thus, giving fans a memorable night. Iverson scored 25 points in helping the Eastern Conference clinch a 111-110 victory over the Western Conference.

In the process Iverson, who is regarded as scoring assassin, also took home the first of his two All-Star game MVP award.
