Hubie Brown, legendary NBA coach and respected NBA analyst and broadcaster, has called his last game. With that, people from the league offered their gratitude and tribute to one of the legends in the league who had been in the broadcast booth for decades and allied for games that were written in the history books of the league. One of them was San Antonio Spurs guard Chris Paul, who even joked about himself retiring before Brown does.
Ahead of the last game Hubie Brown called, which was a game between the Philadephia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks, Chris Paul gave a tribute to Brown in a video.
“Can’t believe you’re calling it quits. I thought I would call it quits before you,” Paul said. “You [are] one of the only people who actually say what I’m thinking when I’m playing in the game. What you’ve given to the game is unbelievable man.”
“What you’ve given to the game is unbelievable… I have so much love and respect for you.”

Players from both the Sixers and the Bucks approached Brown to shake his hands and for some, to express their gratitude over his contributions to the history of the league.
Prior to the start of his final telecast, Mike Breen asked Hubie Brown about his thoughts at the moment, to which the coach and broadcaster replied with a heartfelt thought.
“Well, first of all, it’s 50 years that went by so fast. You turn around and you can’t believe it. That’s No. 1,” Brown said. “When I came with the Milwaukee Bucks with Larry Costello, I received a master’s degree and a doctorate’s degree in basketball in two years. They sent me off, and I was fortunate enough to go to the ABA. But I owe it all to here.”

Breen returned the favor by giving his own heartfelt message to the colleague who had given life to NBA telecasts for decades.
“Everybody that works with you, we all feel the same way,” Breen said. “For us play-by-play announcers who have been able to sit next to you, it’s the ultimate honor to be here and learn from you. You’ve been like a father to many of us, our NBA father.
