The Cleveland Cavaliers have emerged as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference and are positioning themselves as serious postseason contenders. As the playoffs approach, they announced encouraging news on Donovan Mitchell ahead of their matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers.

"Neither Donovan Mitchell nor Evan Mobley are on the injury report for the #Cavs today. They’ll play against the Sixers. Dean Wade (ankle) is probable. Jarrett Allen (knee), Max Strus (foot) and Tyrese Proctor (quad) are all out," reported Danny Cunningham of The Inside Shot.

Mitchell had recently been dealing with a right groin strain, but was removed from the injury report on Monday after returning to form with a strong performance against the Boston Celtics. With their All-Star guard available, the Cavaliers will look to continue building momentum as they prepare for the postseason.

Mitchell has made a big impact for the Cavaliers this season, solidifying his role as the team’s offensive leader. He is averaging 28.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists while shooting 48.3% from the field across 56 games this season. A true three-level scorer, Mitchell can take over games with pull-up jumpers, strong drives to the rim and consistent perimeter shooting. He thrives in pick-and-roll situations, using his quickness and advanced ball-handling to create separation and generate quality looks.

Mitchell’s mentality has elevated his postseason performances, as he consistently delivers in high-pressure moments. His ability to score in isolation and knock down catch-and-shoot three-pointers makes him a constant threat and allows him to control the game. With Mitchell fully healthy, the Cavaliers can place even greater trust in their superstar as they push toward a deep playoff run.

Selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Mitchell has developed into one of the NBA’s premier guards and a cornerstone for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The seven-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA selection has steadily elevated his game, evolving from a dynamic scorer into a complete offensive leader. His ability to perform at an elite level year after year has solidified his reputation as one of the league’s most dependable stars.

Beyond his individual accolades, Mitchell’s growth has had a long-lasting impact on the Cavaliers’ trajectory. His leadership and experience provide them with long-term stability and credibility as a contender in the Eastern Conference. As he continues to refine his all-around game, Mitchell remains central to the organization’s plans. With a proven star in his prime, the Cavaliers are positioned to compete not only now but for years to come.
