The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off an impressive season that saw them finish with the best record in the Eastern Conference, though they were unable to advance past the second round of the playoffs after being eliminated by the Indiana Pacers.
Cleveland will now look to make a run at a championship this season with their core of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen leading the way and they also made some key additions to their roster this offseason.
In free agency, the Cavaliers signed Larry Nance Jr. and they also acquired Lonzo Ball from the Chicago Bulls, but they also lost Ty Jerome in free agency and Isaac Okoro, who was part of the Ball trade.
Despite this, the Cavaliers are looking to build off last season and it all begins for them on October 10 when they face the Bulls to begin their preseason.
While the Cavaliers are preparing for the start of the preseason, they made two more moves on Tuesday on add two more players to their roster.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Cavaliers signed Thomas Bryant to a one-year deal to bolster their frontcourt.

For Bryant, he is coming off a solid season with both the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers as he played a key role for Indiana during their run to the NBA Finals.
Last season, the 28-year-old center averaged 6.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game while shooting 50.8% from the field and 32.4% from three.
Bryant will now add a solid backup big man to the Cavaliers’ roster behind Allen and Mobley who will provide them with a solid scorer, rebounder and defender in the paint.
Cleveland also signed former lottery pick Killian Hayes, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and former No. 7 overall pick Killian Hayes have agreed to a deal, agent Yann Balikouzou of @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT told @hoopshype. He averaged 9.0 points on 38% from 3-point range, 5.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds during six games with the Brooklyn Nets last season pic.twitter.com/xyh6vdXMBh

For Hayes, he played only six games last season for the Brooklyn Nets where he averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 41.9% from the field and 38.1% from three.
Of course, the former seventh overall pick has struggled during his time in the NBA but he will now get an opportunity with one of the top teams in the East this season and he could see a solid role off the bench, especially with Ball’s injury history.
By making these moves, the Cavaliers were able to bolster their bench as they try to make a run at a championship this season.
