Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen offered words of hope after exiting Tuesday’s 113-109 home win over the Pistons.
”I’ll be all right,” Allen told Tom Withers of the Associated Press.
Allen departed about midway through the third quarter with what the Cavs called a right knee injury.
”He got a knee-to-knee,” coach Kenny Atkinson said. “That’s the only update I got. We’ll see tomorrow.”
Video circulating on social media of when Allen supposedly suffered the injury may not be accurate, a team source told Hoops Wire.
Allen has been playing perhaps the best stretch of basketball of his career. On the bright side, the Cavs now have four days off before another game (Sunday vs. Boston).
That gives everyone, including All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, a little time to try to recover. Right now, the Cavs could certainly use it.
Caught Jarrett Allen in hallway, said "I'll be all right" when I asked how he was feeling.
Atkinson thought center may have banged knees with Detroit player.
