The Cavaliers, Nuggets, Knicks and Warriors are among the teams expressing interest in Celtics free agent big man Al Horford, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Boston also has an interest in a Horford return.

Each of those contending teams is looking to add depth to the frontcourt, with Horford likely to command only a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum. That said, the widespread interest could drive up his price.

The Cavaliers and Warriors, in particular, are believed to be prioritizing a veteran stretch center this summer, and Horford fits the mold.

Horford, 39, is about to enter his 18th NBA season. He averaged 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 60 games last season, shooting 42.3% from the field and 36.3% on 3-pointers.

Along with the Celtics, he has spent time with the 76ers, Thunder and Hawks, the team with which his career began. Horford has made the All-Star team five times, most recently in 2018.

The Cavaliers finished 64-18 this past season, good enough for the first seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Meanwhile, the Knicks finished with the third seed before advancing to the conference finals. New York eliminated Horford and the Celtics along the way.
