Now it’s official.

The Cavaliers announced they have signed big man Olivier Sarr to a two-way contract, adding another frontcourt option as the regular season rolls along.

To create the roster spot, Cleveland waived guard Darius Brown II.

Sarr, a 7-footer, previously spent parts of three seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2021-24. In 46 appearances there, he averaged 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in limited minutes.

More recently, Sarr has been playing for Raptors 905 in the G League, averaging 11.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 39 games.

Brown’s stay with the Cavs turned out to be brief. He signed a two-way contract with Cleveland just last week and is expected to return to the Cleveland Charge, where he has spent most of the season.
