The Cavaliers are adding a hometown name to the roster.
Free agent wing Chris Livingston is signing a two-way contract with Cleveland, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Livingston, 22, was the final pick of the 2023 NBA Draft and spent parts of two seasons with the Bucks before being waived just ahead of opening night.
A familiar face in Northeast Ohio hoops circles, Livingston played high school ball at both Akron Buchtel and Hudson Western Reserve Academy before heading to Kentucky.
He now joins another local product, Larry Nance Jr., among recent Cavs with Akron roots.
Livingston averaged just 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in limited NBA action but looked far more comfortable in the G League, posting 18.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game last season for the Wisconsin Herd.
At 6-foot-6, he brings size and energy to the wing and impressed scouts during Summer League, which helped him earn a fully guaranteed deal with Milwaukee before his release.
Livingston is represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.
Luke Travers and Nae’Qwan Tomlin are Cleveland’s other two-way players. Teams are permitted to carry three, so no other roster move is necessary.
