Thanks to Tristan Enaruna, the Cavaliers nearly turned Sunday’s Summer League game into a dunk contest.

The former Cleveland State wing delivered a highlight reel of soaring finishes as the Cavaliers cruised to a 92-72 win over the Miami Heat, picking up their first blowout victory in Las Vegas.

Enaruna, who played two seasons with the Vikings after stops at Kansas and Iowa State, put his athleticism on full display. The 6-foot-8 forward finished with 19 points, four rebounds and three steals, bringing energy and verticality in transition and the halfcourt.

He’s far from a finished product. Enaruna isn’t known for his outside shot, and he doesn’t dominate in any one skill area, except for maybe athleticism. But in this one, that was more than enough.

The game opened up in the third quarter, when Jaylon Tyson rattled off a personal scoring run that changed the tone. Tyson scored seven unanswered points to break the game open and give Cleveland a sizable lead. From there, the Cavs poured it on, and Enaruna took over the entertainment.

Tyson’s confidence was evident as he stepped into multiple three-pointers and pushed the pace. He finished with a well-rounded line of 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block.

With Craig Porter Jr. still sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Tyson continued to handle lead guard duties and again looked like a player on the verge of outgrowing Summer League.

Big man Nae’Qwan Tomlin added 11 points and six assists.

As for Enaruna, the push for a two-way deal is officially on. The athleticism is real. The production is trending up. And if he keeps playing like this, Cleveland’s final two-way spot might already be spoken for.

The Cavaliers improved to 2-1 in summer play, with the next game scheduled for Wednesday afternoon vs. the Sacramento Kings.
