Jayson Tatum has shown that he is a special NBA player from the beginning. Having taken the Celtics to five Eastern Conference finals appearances, two NBA Finals appearances, and a title, he is already one of the most decorated stars in franchise history.

It is no surprise that, during his time with the NBA, Tatum joined some esteemed companies past and present. Even if Tatum hasn't won the NBA's Most Valuable Player award, he has still put up numbers that only players who have won the award have achieved.

One player who has also been among the NBA's very best players is Nikola Jokic, who has won three out of the last five MVPS while also finishing among the top two in voting for the award.

As it turns out, Tatum put up numbers this season that only the Denver Nuggets superstar has. The Celtics X account announced a stat that only the two of them shared this season.

"Jayson Tatum and Nikola Jokic are the only NBA players to average at least 26.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 6.0 APG, and 1.0 SPG while playing in at least 65 contests this past season," the Celtics revealed.

This is further proof of how good Tatum has been in Boston, as he puts up numbers that one of the few multi-time MVPs currently in the NBA has done.

The one sad aspect is that Tatum will spend the next year rehabbing from a torn Achilles he suffered in Boston's postseason loss to the New York Knicks. However, Tatum has shown how good he is at the peak of his powers, and will work hard to regain that form.
