The Celtics have officially signed center Charles Bassey to a 10-day contract, the team announced.
This marks the fourth 10-day deal for Bassey this season. The five-year veteran previously had short stints with the Grizzlies and 76ers earlier in the year.
Most of Bassey’s production has come in the G League, where he has averaged 20.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks across 20 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors and Delaware Blue Coats.
The 6-foot-10 big man was originally selected by Philadelphia with the 53rd pick in the 2021 draft and later spent three seasons with the Spurs.
Bassey also impressed the Celtics during Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 15.3 points and 11.0 rebounds over three games.
Boston had been operating with a 12-man roster while navigating the luxury tax. Bassey will earn $153,330 during the 10-day deal while counting $131,970 against the cap.
